Nokia Launches Mobile Webservers

Nokia is making the binary of the code generally available and they are even providing accounts on their gateway (which is necessary to circument the firewalls and other security features that operators employ on mobile networks).

The commentary in the relevance of this development is particularly interesting as it references the fact that location becomes contextually meaningful when the webserver itself can (and likely will) move and when the administrator of said server is nearly always present.

There are many ways in which the unique advantage of mobility and the other strengths of mobile handsets could be leveraged with the end result being a very interesting and functional platform for delivering truly mobile media as well as for providing an entirely new level of context in regards to web based data delivery.
