I just try to be gentle and not play games that require 'heavy' use of the stylus. My touch screens are in relatively good shape. *

I'm gonna get some wide cellotape to cover the entire touch screen. I'm worried about it. Might do the same thing to my white Vita. Or cling wrap with tape outside the edges. *
