On hearing that neither The Saviour nor HIS apostles ever once set foot in a church, most people are shocked! This shock is understandable because we were taught that they had founded the ''church''. Additionally, the English versions of the New Testament are ''full'' of the word ''church''. However, when one understands that the word ''church'' was invented hundreds of years after the *

apostles died, then it becomes clear that they could not have founded or be a part of any church.
Since the word church never existed during the time of the apostles, it simply means that they must have been a part of something else before it became known as the church. What was this body called before? Why is it called church? Where did the name church come from? *

THE CHURCH
The following is undeniable: The Saviour was a Jew from the tribe of Judah.
HIS disciples were Hebrew.
They were all from the land of Israel.

It logically follows that they would speak the native language of Israel. From creation until now, the native language of Israel has remained Hebrew, with Aramic being the local dialect. *

It is well known that the Greeks translated the Brit Chadesh or New Testament into Greek. It therefore follows that they translated almost everything into Greek, including the name of the body to which the apostles belonged. The name of this body was translated to Ecclesia or Ekklesia. Ecclesia was later translated by the Romans to Circus or Circulus. *

From Circus it became Chirche in Old English and later Church in modern English. Why would the Romans Choose this word ''Circus''?
The Romans have a habit of naming things in honour of their pagan gods and goddesses. Ecclesia was therefore named in honour of the pagan sun goddess Circe, pro nounced Kirk or

Chirche
One does not have to be an etymologist to know that C and Ch often have the K sound, as in music and Christmas. Therefore church is definately Circe (Kirk) in disguise. *

The goddess Circe has been worshipped for a long time in the ''house of ''Circe'' or ''Circe's house.'' When Circe's followers were converted to Christianity they continued to worship in ''Circe's house'' or the ''house of Circe'' (Church) In the house of Circe (church) they also worshipped Zeus (the father of Jesus), and Kyrios - the Lord. *
