if its out of town riding and maybe some off road i would go a dual sport enduro bike a KTM or husky , sportbike something like a honda CBR250 , cruiser style something like a honda CB 250-360 , popular bikes in the uk are the Zx6r 600 , ninja 300 but now the craze is supermoto CRF250 - 450 KTM supermoto's
