Yes.. the phone is smaller, by quite a bit.. the screen isn't tho.. if you place the edge on top of the note, you'll see that the edges display matches almost perfectly to the viewable area of the note screen.. the only reason the note appears to have a much bigger screen is because of the large bezel running around the edge of it..
