No topping up wont reconnect you. Ring orange or it might be easier just to buy another sim card, you can get them free from the orange site.When you get a free sim card, do you need to phone Orange to register the sim? If so, then it sounds like it's not any easier getting a new sim card than reactivating the deactivated sim.
