The network block the sim and the imei number is also usually barred if it's a contract phone, barring the imei makes it usless to anybody in the uk, u cant legally change a phones imei number so once its barred it wont take any sim on any network!If u ring your network to report it stolen it's immediate it doesnt take weeks or days and if it isnt immediate its within the hour!
