i had the exact same thing happen to me a few months back. I posted a topic here about that problem of which the replies to it might help if u check it out or u could try inserting the windows disc that came with ur laptop and select fix or u could install the windows os afresh instead of fixing, of which u might lose all the data u had but i reckon u can still recover it if u select appropriate options during installation. The last solution worked for me after everything else tried failed but i wasn't able to recover my data (dislike)
