It sounds like a virus 2 me.. had same prob wit me desktop a while back... it loads yr cpu while staying hidden, lots of droppers n Trojans seem 2 do this, bt Im not n expert... chck n see if yr ram usage is also higher... n pleeeez dump kasperskrap, n try avast instead... it sorted my prob in no time... hp it helps.
