how about knowing what you are doing first, google what you need to know, i would say DO NOT not have anti virus as then you will be cramed with viruses / trojans etc, how about trying something like microsoft security essentials from the microsoft site and it is free or free spyware terminator as with them you have a restore point so if something fks up you can restore it
