you could try doing a search on your phone for *harvester*.db and *thumbnail*.db files (they should be in folders in /private) and delete them then restart your phone, that should force the phone to refresh the galleries. Works with my n97. Make a backup copy of the *.db files before deleting to be on the safe side.
