Atheists aren't a group of people bound together by a set of beliefs or values. The only thing they have in common is a lack of belief in a god. Atheists can be good, bad, communist, capitalist, homophobic or tolerant and everything in between.

Unlike some of the main religions there are no violent beliefs in atheism (there are no beliefs at all) only violent individuals who may happen to be atheist along with their own set of individual values.
