psychiatric disorders are truely associated with crimes and there are many studies on the subject where they found that people with criminal minds do have psychiatric problems more than general population. but it is also a fact that lawyers exploit this law and they often plead non-guility on base of insanity for the who even dnt have any psychiatric issues.
