Muslims have started to drop allah and use God.At least 'God' is an easily accepted generic noun for the deity across many religions but 'Allah' has a lot of Islamic baggage.. at least in non-Arab cultures. Non-Arab Muslims have also contributed to this. For instance English speaking Muslims have commonly used 'Allah' whenever they mean to say 'God', leading to certain misconceptions such as 'Allah' being different from 'God' and being an Islam specific deity, a small g 'god' even.
