For me it's like some sort of trigger age. It's like the world has gone from selling hope, desire and reward, to selling promise, scaremongering, doom and gloom.

The idea that we're in tough times is being drilled into the world so hard, that it's becoming a challenge to just enjoy life, even for those not biting. Society mirrors it, like it's fashionable to put on such a dark front.

It's become so normal that people are becoming uncomfortable with being kind, like they don't trust it, or it's embarrassing/weak in relation to the norm.

It's exhausting. I got rid of television many years ago, i cut anything off that plays the wrong tune, i live by example and it works for me but i'm definitely paddling upstream.
