You are way behind on what is actually done in a open society. The economic benefits part was a lie to gain control. America got the lumber shortage because of a failed deal with canada and all of a sudden ppl here were cutting down even more trees to be sent to germany. Germany again profited without cutting there own trees down selling it to america. Same with the russian gas. they sold it for profit. We did not need to be conquered by na zi germany to again be there to exploit. That is the european union. Getting fined for random nonsense and forced to give away our resources.

So what you're saying is, if countries don't have control by trying to make deals, then everything is stable and wonderful. facepalm.gif
in a capitalist system, where this is a demand, someone will make a profit. The deal didn't happen, there was a market and it got filled. Maybe you should move to a commie country.
