The north and midlands of England are a major s**t hole and that's no reflection on its residents. That's a government less than 300 miles away.

I do not get this scrutiny for wanting to be self reliant and wanting to sort through the s**t heap of problems Scotland has. At the very least Scotland can say it's actively sought after a fairer society with things like free prescriptions, education, EMA, etc... would much rather a left lean than a hard right the rest of the uk is heading for
Left leaning is all well and good but if you won't have the finances to implement these policies or continue with them then its all just hot air.
