People were somewhat naiive back then in the ancient times and they believed that gods and the supernatural were an actual truth and from that aspect, ancient carvings are fascinating, the intriguing aspect is that they also lied abt history and they erased some stories or added untruth to others. Most carvings are simple but some have details such as the sumerian and indian ones. Egypcian are rigid but colourful. Aztecs have an unique style and chinese... well I don't think they have much carving but they already had good painters and sculpturors, like 6000 years ago.
