you guys i knw my stuf. The D8000 is a gr8 tv. You guys are using buggy sets from people who complained on the net to bring the whole model down. NO TV IS PESFACT! Panasonic has ist own issuse sony aswel. And yes you do need a 1.4 hdmi coz its the only cable spec that supports 3D at 1080i
