Subject: Vw jetta mk2 advice plz!!!

Changed the rubber piece that my carburettor was resting on because it was leaking and now the car starts sometimes in cold weather but still refuse to start sometimes. Also when it refuse to start I pour warm water on my coil and then the car start. Mayb I should replace the coil
