It's the USA failing slowly, if you can't beat your enemy fairly, then you use your power and authority to rig the system so you remain on top... Very common tactic in African politics, but once you have to engage in such tactics its clear you know your days are numbered... So fingers crossed that Meta and Apple collapse, then the US would have no choice but to engage internationally again...
