(prior to the 8.1 update I did have a third party start button which I then uninstalled just before the 8.1 update arrived) PS: are the silly things called charms bar? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick lol? * +

Windows 8 looks too much like a smartphone for me to take seriously. Sticking to Windows 7 till Microsoft figures out to get their heads out of their collective arse. * +

windows 8 sucks .Tried it on my desktop with start is back and formated and re installed windows 7 after a week . Then i buy a new laptop and its installed on that as defualt so thought i would give it another try and same again re installed windows 7 . Windows 9 will be better * +

I think MS's long term strategic plan is to integrate all their devices. Windows 9 will carry on from Windows 8, so if you don't like 8 you probably wont like 9. Only difference will be having a proper Start menu, but Start is Back already gives you that on 8... so. * +

U can use windows 8 EXACTLY like windows 7..........just google 'windows 8 start button'............it will install a start button, as well as win 7 functionality...........thank me later............. * +
