I'm due a bunch of upgrades but I'm not buying until next year. It is quite difficult to choose a platform right now that will last a long time, and it's hard to tell if Nvidia will launch their big beasty Maxwells in 6 months. If they do it'll probably be some Titan chip first and then mainstream stuff later. * +

Jays 2 cents on youtube got a 1500mhz plus oc on the gigabyte gtx 970 hitting ~60c wow.gif Also the power consumption is improved. * +

970 is easily the best price to performance out of that and the 980, I see a lot of people are going 970 SLI instead of getting a 980 * +

Buy now sell up next year a month or so before release . i sold my 780 for 320 a month ago and yesterday the price dropped through the floor and you can get a 780ti for around 280. * +

Yeah they are maxwell but on 28nm ,The 20nm cards due around christmas time next year will be 20nm .170w mawell on 20nm is going to be a crazy overclocker. * +
