windows 8.1 is latest, your security shld upgrade you automatically ... I found windows 8 a complete nightmare after using XP for years but i got there in the end * +

I agree! As long as you use Start is Back or a similar program to add a proper start menu, win 8.1 is better than win 7, it has slightly better performance and nice but subtle improvements everywhere. The only better thing about win 7 is that it looks a bit better. * +
