If you actually intend to game on a laptop then don't settle for anything less than a GT550 or 6830M. http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-550M.42264.0.html This is the GPU. On the right there is a list of graphics in laptops with the fastest at the top and descending to help compare * +

These are my Skyrim settings http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7568/skyrimsettings.png 1600x900 as my laptop has a 1080p screen. 1920x1080 is too much for the GPU. * +

GT550 is what I tell people too, but if they can't afford it they can't afford it. His budget of just under 600GBP would be enough to get one with a GT550 here, but I have no idea about his buying options in his own country. * +

I had a 9800M GTS, which i felt was becoming too slow, and traded up for a GTX460M which is reasonable. http://www.novatech.co.uk/laptop/range/nspire2450-blackedition.html?th=g something like this is fairly good for the money although this is in the uk. It has a GT555 which fairly trounces even the 550 as you would expect. * +

Have you looked at the Dell outlet, Kr1shna? They will be either refurbished or items that have been returned, the box may be damaged, but the laptops will be fine and have a full warranty, you can get good deals this way, certainly in the UK at least. * +
