CPU clockspeed bumps it up quite a bit Wonder what a i7 6700k on 4.5ghz would score with a gtx 1070. 4.5ghz has always been a sweetspot with my chip above that just too much heat. Max tip on package and 1 core is 78c thats great enough on 4.5ghz. * +

I get a bit over 16000 with a 6700k, completely stock system when I ran that test a while back with a GTX1070. Haven't tried it with anything overclocked. Physics score was ~1700 higher than your 4.5 test. * +

Never Benchmark as in real world usage it means nothing .Spartans faster CPU gives better score but in game at 4k there will be little if any diffrence at all * +

My GTX1070 boosted a teeny eeny bit higher than the Strix did in the second test shown there which probably added a tiny bit to the GPU score. Told you I had a great sample Then obviously the CPU score was a fair bit better @ 4.2ghz turbo stock and 3200mhz DDR4. DDR4 helps here with the 6700k/Skylake compared to the 1866mhz you got in there.

Real world there will be nothing in it for most games though as noted. * +

I feel like i would be a fool upgrading my cpu if the latest is only a little bit faster. I would like a 8 core but those things are too expensive lol. Wonder how much the i5s will hold back a gtx 1070. The higher framerate demands cpu more what you have with your 12hz monitor so you get a benefit. I Went to 4k and 120hz is not possible lol 60fps is ok on the 3770k still. * +
