What games could you not max at 1080p with a gtx 970 ? A better cpu would give better results at that low res .Higher the res the less the cpu matters as you know * +

I would at least get a 1440p display as you are wasting all that power at the res. And once you have played on a 1440p you wont want to play at 1080p again and will want 4k

Dying Light, GTA 5 with high grass, as* Creed Unity. They are just a few off the top of my head.
My CPU isn't really a problem. I think it will mostly be strategy games where the CPU could be a problem. * +
