Nice .Hope your not wasting all that power on a 1080p screen * +

I am still at 1080p. Stopped using my monitor and now I'm using my HDTV in the living room (Sony Bravia, good refresh rate and processor). So I would need to find something to replace it and that brings problems. First is getting a HDTV that will process the images fast enough and in good quality, and then it would have to be 4K and the power needed to run games at that res.

Also higher res would be a bad idea with the 3.5GB VRAM cap on the 970s * +

Just seems like a waste of money running 2 fast cards at low res 1080p . Those cards are made for higher res even if you run lower settings . I have been running my 980 on 4k for months and most games are a mixture of medium / hi settings and look far better than 1080p which is in todays pc gaming a very low resolution * +

i've not really found any 4K screens that do it for me yet.
i've gone to get one and talked myself out of it like three times so far.
Now i want one again. * +

No man. I couldn't max out plenty of games before, so there is a huge benefit to having two cards at 1080p * +
