What is the gigabyte card you got? I been looking at the Zotac 1070 and the MSI ones. I had a Zotac amp edition before and it was a great card, the only MSI I had was a GTX670 and it was dead on arrival so chose an Asus instead. Not exactly lots of choice at present because of shortages.

if thats at me. i got the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD, did want the asus but when this came up at the a bargain price, i just bit the bullet and got it. very very happy. my pc is in my lounge hooked up to my old pioneer tv so it has to be quite, and it is * +

Right the G1. Good card, the backplate is enclosed though. Which is why I liked the Zotac backplate. I'll buy something in the next month or so anyway, when the choice is better. Considering there is never anything good out in terms of games until September I am in no rush. * +

I liked the look of the gigabyte g1 after having the 980 g1 but from my understanding the g1 is no longer gigabytes top line carda so i got the asus .its near silent under load its scary i had to keep checking it was working * +

They reduced the price of the G1 to 400 pounds the other day. I think because gigabyte launched the xtreme version which currently appears to be the fastest GTX1070. Looks a beast. I did pick up that Zotac though, had the best clocks, cooler and warranty for it's price. It also boosts beyond 2ghz out of the box, which is bonkers more than it's supposed to but hey not complaining lol shame about the GPU sag but meh * +

All the 1070's perform about the same . The zotac is a beast much like my Asus strix ,big and heavy but boosted to 2ghz and beyond as its factory clocked . Think it's the fastest out of the box 1070 * +
