I just opened my HP assistant and it said to update a HP Firmware pack. What is this for and once downloaded it updated the BIOS to version F.40. is all this necessary and does it actually change anything on my PC? Thanks for the helps. *

it could be security and performance improvements, another way of saying them fixing stuff they realised they fu*ked up. *
