Sony Ericsson had the best Java games. they had gpu's in their feature phones in 2004. some games were actually stunning for mobile back then.

The Nokia n95 also had a GPU. Many of the games were quite impressive. * +

there were none written for it in Java though. in fact I think there was only about 4 or 5 sis games that ever used it. * +

N-gage had some very impressive games at the time . I had one for games but didn't use it as a phone . They looked good on a small screen but on today's hi res panels they will look like sh*t . * +

Yes ngage were good also the last symbian os S3 have some great games ,but not these crappy java sheoIte usbplugs playing around with they were just resource heavy and CRAP! With exception of mini opera n googlemaps * +
