tried that, it shouldnt need that anyway as the hd is powered already. Think it must have something to do with the meadiapi's ready made circutry it only promised to be compatible for pi 2 not 3 think i may use the 3 for my server and retire the raspberry pi b plus and keep using the 2 for kodi, it does a decent enough job * +

I've bought myself a sense hat for my RPi B+ That's been sitting around for a while. It's got a 8x8 matrix full colour led display. A gyro sensor for detecting movement on three axis. An air pressure sensor, humidity sensor, temperature sensor and a joystick control. It costs about 33 GBP. * +
