howzit guys,i have been running my pc on 2 four gig 1600mhz ram sticks.my mobo is a gigabyte z77x ud3h....i recently got 2 additional four gig 1600 sticks....kingston hyper x blue ...but noob that i am,did not think anything about the 1.65v on the sticker....installed it ,and now my pc runs at ,1333mhz...after some troubleshooting ,figured out my mobo supports 1.5v.....and to get the kingstons to 1600,i needed 1.65.....now my question is ,is there a gain on my pc because i,m running 16gig ,or a hell no...because i,m running at 1333mhz....my WEI jumped from 7.8 to 7.7. thanks for your input. * +

it depends what your going to be using the computer for ? in reality 16 gb of 1333 mhz is gonna be fast enough for most applications, you may have to wait for an extra 0.03 of a second every now and then for it to do its job but as long as your not working in a high pressure time sensitive environment then its not worth worrying about. * +

Apart from benchmarking overclocking your ram wont bring any performance gain in gaming . * +

i was mostly wondering if 8gig at 1600mhz, were better than 16gig at 1333mhz....if not no worries, and i do believe my timings stayed the same, think its 9......just a bummer about the mobo, the blue heatsinks went nicely wiht my colour scheme, as i was planning to buy another 2 sticks....thanks guys. *
