Windows 8.1 is Win 8 but with a service pack. Win 10 isn't out yet. 8.1 is the most up to date version so obviously it is the best out of the three that is currently available. Any Win 10 version out now is not final, so don't bother with it. * +

And I think the .1 is just a language pack update in the service pack as the laptops we sell with win 8 doesn't mention language pack but all the ones with 8.1 says Win 8.1 with language pack * +

But Win8 still suck just not as much as Vista did best OS is still XP and Win 7 Ultimate. * +

.1 is much more than just a language pack. Win 8 have improvements over Win 7, just use Start is Back and it is just as good as Win 7. *
