After spending years with pentium 4. I have opted to move up. The laptop in my reach is an acer tm 8372t. Its a core i3. Has 320gb HD, 4gb ram, nice and portable with all the extras like micro sd slot, wifi, bluetooth, webcam and 3g. The graphics is intel HD 3000 I think. Question is. Is it a good buy if its reasonably priced. I have always planned to play some games when I upgrade but I doubt this will crack it. Other than that. Any good. Its small and portable. Most of my work is design. * +

A quick Google says it's an I5 not an I3. A good buy depends on how much you can get it for and what you'll be using it for really. * +

Google lenovo z570. I have one, it has a gt540m gfx with i5 and 500gb hdd. I couldnt get a review or specsheet anywhere that gave me these specs * +

the laptop I saw was stated as the model above but it has a core i3 and not i5. I will be using it mostly for video editing and graphic design. if only it had a dedicated graphics card. it would be complete * +

An i7 is what you want for video editing and graphics design. * +

What newt said. That acer is sorely underpowered for what you want it for. Not to mention the missing dedicated graphics. * +

a whole entire i7 just for video editing! how about an nvidia geforce 310m gfx card. the lappy doesn't have it but suppose a lappy with such a graphics card. still below par? * +
