So, i plug a projector to the vga (wasn't the first time) removed it later and closed the lid. Opened it later to find out the screen is off,, but on a closer inspection i discovered that the screen isn't off, just the backlite.. * +

Sounds like it may need backlight replacing. Quite possibly a slight short caused damage when vga was removed. Was the laptop or projector still on when vga cable was removed? * +

Yes, both were on. U has removed it to plug in another laptop to the projector. * +

Did you power it off before unplugging it? If not, power could arc and fry internal circuitry. Comphelp.gif * +

There's your problem. The backlight will need replacing. You should never unplug any cables while power is still on. * +
