not reading bray disc,but reads normal disc.the samsung technical team reckons its the deck that blew??system is 1 and half years old,the say its from to much use,can u believe it? * +

They never make these disc readers or writers to last. Have you noticed that when a DVD RW on a computer goes bad that it will usually read a CD just fine? * +

a blue ray player has two types of laser, a red one for dvd and cd playback and blue one for well yeah blue ray lol. could it be that the blue laser is faulty then? Because that might explain why its still working with other disc formats. * +

I made my reply nine days ago, and my brain wasn't firing on all cylinders. But it is worse now since I have caught some Summer bug and feel like death warmed over. * +

I had same problem..that it would play dvd and not blurays but mine wasnt the samsung drive.i cant remember if i fixed it by downloading an update or something else but got it to work, i remember afterwards bluray looked like cr*p in windows media player but was flawless in vlc.. *
