I currently have Windows 7 ultimate, I wanna upgrade to 8, but how to do this without having to re-install all my apps and games and so on after the upgrade? * +

Dont do it you will regret it big time. Windows 8 is for tablets not desktops and laptops , its a joke of an operating system , wait for windows 9 it will address everything thats terrible avout w8 * +

thanks... I had same feeling...... the rrason I wanna change is that my AMD switchable grahics has been acting funny... it doesn't run smoothly again for games and its annoying.. the last time it happened I had to reinstall windows 7, but now I have a whole lot of apps and some very large one I updated with huge data.. if I back up the Program x86 folder, and recopy it after the windows 7 re install, will all my apps work? * +

Just run the upgrade. Windows 8 will install and auto update any drivers once its installed, hopefully that'll sort your graphics cards problems * +

what norega said dont go there. Microsoft have realised consumers dont like windows 8. They are fixing it by launching windows 9, which apparentely will be more like windows 7 lol. Windows 9 preview will be available this autumn. Win 8 will will go the same way Vista did. * +

Just wait until Windows 9 is released, I think you will like it better than Vista 2. Lol.gif * +
