Hi people am just curious if it is possible to connect an play sound to the laptop and transfer it through HDMI CABLE to play on the DVD PLAYER. my dvd player is sony and its have an HDMI port and I was wondering it I can use it to play music with. *

Most probably not. The HDMI port is nearly certainly an output, not an input. Read the manual. *

No. A USB cable would be more like what be should used for this application, but probably does not exist on the said device. *
