make a shortcut of the installer, then click on shortcut properties. click the target text box to give it focus so you see a blinking text cursor. press end on the keyboard to move the cursor to the end of all text to far right. press space, then add this: -i GUI, apply and run the shortcut. if it acts the same, then replace -i GUI with -i Console. that should make the installer run in command line mode and maybe you'll have more luck going through then in graphical mode. *
