Just been given a PC for free, its not branded at all just in a black case , inside is an Intel core 2 quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 Ghz , 2 x 2GB Ram DDR2 , 500GB SATA HDD , 400W PSU , and an FSB 1333 multi core CPU wtf apart from the HDD is any of this any good for gaming ? or should I just start over ? It is quite an old build probably 2007 .. * +

the processor is the best bit although it's a bit shyte. It has no gpu and uses slow DDR2. I'd just start over * +

for a good cheap case I recommend Thermaltake Commander. It supports USB 3.0, 4 fan mounts, a dust filter and a place for a large video card, 12.5 inches to be exact * +

it is! If you want a good gpu for the money, get a Radeon 7770 1GB. It can crank out good framerates without breaking the bank. For something more powerful thats still good for the money, Radeon 7850 2GB. It'll crush any game * +

also DO NOT SKIMP ON YOUR PSU!!! I cannot say that enough. 600w should be good but make sure it's 80 plus certified. Also, I wouldn't get an Intel i7 when Intel i5 3570k is soooo good. * +
