Mates i need yo help urgently. My laptop is running low on hard drive space. Dis is was happens- my hard drive is divided in 2. Partitioned. Da hard drive d@ hav da operating system its memory is low low. Last week i had 4gb left 2day i hav 680mb but i installed nothin. Wat can i do to fix dis o else soon it wont start coz of space. * +

you have 2 partitions but your saving stuff to the OS partition it sounds like. when asked where to save stuff point it to second partition. its like having two HDDs on one single unit * +

I like to have at least 20GB free space on my HDD's. Defragmenting becomes a problem when you have a low amount of free space. * +

i'd advise you a nice solution of downloading sysinternals process monitor, and set a filter with event class 'filesystem'. you'll get a list of files which read and write your hard drive. studdy it a bit, cause once you get the hang of it, you'll always know exactly what is happening in your system. * +
