I was wandering cos Iam considering a core i5 upgrade but cos of finances it would have to be the cheapest sandy bridge core i5 available however much that is? it was either that or amd bulldozer to be perfectly honest. maybe what cherwell said is a good idea waiting for ivy bridge to appear which will drive down sandy bridge prices. I dont want anything less than a core i5 though. is the low end core i5 quad core or would I have to goo for the next one up the ladder? * +

i5 are 4core 4treaded i3 are 2 core 4 treaded and i7 have 4cores and 8 treads as for sandy desktop lineup. * +
