When i have the windows xp on my laptop at that time the cardreader works .. . Now i upgrade with windows 7 then the cardreader does not work? When i insert a memory card in laptop it does not show The windows of external memory. * +

if the card reader is built in then the manufacturer site should have the drivers if they support windows 7 * +

go to google and type in your pc name and model card reader drivers * +

it could be that the manufacturer doesnt support win7 for your model. NOT UNCOMMON. * +

Go to services and see if your plug and play services are on auto and running. If not put it on auto start it and reboot. Then go back to services see if it started. if the plug and play was running go to device manager. Then check if you see any devices marked with a yellow sign next to it. * +
