Shaw isn't world class, but he has the potential to be for sure and isn't overhyped. As pointed out there is no one better at his age, and he's already streets ahead of most older more established players. There is a reason I called his purchase while the Baines link was knocking about as he was superb at Southampton. There was a reason he is playing for United and they paid what they did, there is a reason he has picked up a bunch of caps before he is 20 and Hodgson predicts 100 caps. Huge potential kid who got fit this season and started excellently. Let's hope this injury does not set him back too much. * +

He picked up the caps for England because baines was injured and the lack of players available to play at left back .As for gloating over his price tag he is still to justify it and that could still backfire on you like all the Southampton players Liverpool picked of .There not exactly living up to there price tag . * +

Baines days are numbered at left back for England, he got his reprieve the other night. Fortunate for him, he's obviously been a downgrade on Cole's decade for England defensively. It's not gloating, it's pointing out Shaw has plenty of time to prove his class. It was a clean break so there is a glimmer of a chance of him playing before the end of the season. * +
