Open wheelers on ovals are stupid They are simply too fast for the circuits if something goes wrong you have no protection. Although this chassis is aging and the whole series needs a safety revamp. He did test the 2012 chassis though that has a different rear profile to try and prevent launching when rammed like what happened in the race

Justin Wilson Sheffield born racing driver died in an Indycar after the race on Sunday night. I was watching this race. A big chunk of a car the nosecone that had crashed in front of him flicked up and smashed him hard on the head. He came to this one car accident at very high speed on an oval and couldn't avoid all the debris. Even at that stage it was obvious he was unconscious and it was a bad accident. He slipped into a coma and was pronounced dead. * +
