That one surprised me as well, think it did most Hull fans to be honest. Made a late bid and it was successfull, on loan initially with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season. Apparently Newcastle were trying to offload him to Besiktas on loan but he turned that down because he wanted to stay in the premier league. * +
