No fans would be happy but Cardiff took it up the a*se in order to get into the Premier league. I'm not advocating it but this is what owners do and the fans either let it slide for the potential for success or fight it and the owner possibly walks away.
I do think Hull can find new investors however. * +

some off the older hull fans seem to be more accepting of the name change.Saw many hull v sc**thorpe Derby games in the 80's and many hull fans called themselves tigers then and there were numerous tiger chants.maybe it's a generational thing * +

Clubs have nicknames though .so would city fans fancy Manchester citizens .Newcastle magpies Everton toffees it just don't work unless your name is Liverpool murderers
