Well of course. They overpaid for it massively, their only way to get the cash back is to charge more. What BT have done rather than give Sky competition and lower prices is fragment the rights and you end up paying a bunch more for the same amount of football.

In the end of course the consumer gets screwed. Woo. I did look ahead and see this though and move my broadband to BT on a cheap deal a month ago. You still get BT Sport 1 with the Premier League picks free, if you want the rest its 5 quid a month * +

I currently pay 16.50 a month for BT hd. don't really mind paying a few pounds more * +

Time to invest in a dodgy box I think, had a cable one a few years back and it wasn't much cop. These ones that work of satellite are supposed to be a lot better. I can live with no HD for 30 a year *
