Sterling was flat out seriously overpriced, no competition and the player wrangling to get out. Shaw was only a bit too expensive. Close to his market value. Haven't you heard Chelsea wanting to blow 25m on Stones? You know, young English defender highly regarded, at a lower club with less money? Go figure.

You mean unfit- he said nothing about money. The kid has corrected it and has expert fitness help since because he is learning. Let's see what you say when Chelsea eventually pay more for Stones than United did for Shaw, as the situation is pretty much exactly the same. Market value. * +

I've already said fair play to Liverpool for mugging city over sterling .prices are just getting stupid now if stones is sold and we get 34 mil so be it don't mean I agree with the outrageous prices . nod * +

Because there are more than a single example of a team paying 50m for someone like Sterling? Rooney cost a lot less even with inflation and he was much better for his age. I love the fact the Everton fans here are the ones getting involved and basically saying no, Stones is definitely not worth more than say 20m

He's maybe a 25m player, same as Shaw. That's the going rate these days. I doubt you honestly disagree. * +
